What is the pink stuff in my shower?
Most people call it pink mold. Usually it's a common bacterium called Serratia marcescens. It makes a pink-orange color as it grows and lives on soap scum in spots that stay wet: the drain, the bottom grout line, the shower curtain hem. It isn't a true mold, and it isn't a sign you don't clean. It's a sign that corner stays wet.

That's how long one Moriva Egg lasts, so its window gives you a date you don't have to remember. It's a rhythm, not a deadline: see new pink before then? Wipe it off, it's on the surface. A stain that won't wipe off? Clean early.
What if my caulk is too far gone?
If the black is inside the caulk (it won't lift after a clean, or the caulk is cracked or peeling), no cleaner can reach it. Replace that caulk once, then start the 2 steps on the new caulk.
Where do I put the Moriva Egg?
It's small: 3.3 in (8.5 cm) tall, about the height of a coffee mug. On a shelf or ledge near the shower or tub, around eye level and out of direct spray. One unit per bathroom.
Is the scent strong?
It's strongest in the first days after you press it, then it settles into a light, clean smell. If you're sensitive to scent, start with Citrus and place it a little further from the door.
Is it safe around kids and pets?
The Moriva Egg has no chlorine, no aerosol and no smoke. Like any household product, place the unit and the gel where kids and pets can't reach them. Moriva Clean is a cleaning product: store it closed, out of reach, and keep kids and pets out of the bathroom until you've wiped it off.
